Learn How to Get Along with Roommates 101

1. Mi casa is not your casa—stay out of my stuff and I’ll stay out of yours.
2. Write room rules down on the first night you are together.
3. Clean up after yourself and then you can talk about someone else not doing it.
4. If you don’t say it bothers you then, it doesn’t bother you. 
5. Decide if there are things you will buy together and use together.  Make a list.
6. Establish what tv show you can’t live without before you end up “dying!”
7. Arrange your room or apartment so that you have some opportunity for privacy.
8. I don’t really need to hear what you’re talking about on the phone.  Shut up!
9. If you borrow it, you better bet your stash of snacks that you don’t ruin it!
10. If we go out together, we are each other’s responsibility.  Be careful!
